Alternative Transportation
What is alternative transportation? Commuting in any way except driving alone is considered as taking alternative transportation. For example, walking, biking, carpooling, and using public transportation can be considered as taking alternative transportation.

There are many benefits that come with walking or biking. These forms of transportation have positive impacts on human health because they provide exercise, reduce carbon footprint, reduce pollution, and ease tragic congestion. Biking and walking are not only sustainable solutions but are also a part of a healthy lifestyle and help people stay healthy.

Taking public transportation (such as subways, trains, buses, vanpool services, and light rail) can reduce carbon footprint, traffic congestion, travel time, air pollution, and energy and gasoline consumption.

Carpooling is another great eco-green way for commuters to protect the environment. It can help reduce pollution, reduce commuting costs, increase free time for riders, and reduce the need for parking.

From being healthy to reducing pollution, there are many benefits to taking alternative transportation. But most importantly, taking alternative transportation helps us take one step closer to saving the planet.
